Welcome to Foxes!
Class Teacher: Mrs Carpenter
Welcome to The Foxes.
After a lovely half term break, The Foxes are ready to embark on their final 6 weeks at Measham CE Primary School and what a fun-filled half term it will be.
Our topic is 'What is perfect?', where we will be looking at 'perfection' through the eyes of many different people, cultures, race and gender. We will be challenging stereotypes and asking lots of poignant questions.
In English, we will be looking at the book 'The Island' by Armin Greder - using both the text and illustrations to infer and deduce. We will be questioning 'difference' and 'outsiders', thinking of the ways in which our opinions can be influenced.
Mathematics will involve further investigations into Algebra and looking at the binary code. We will be completing transition work, getting everyone ready for the move to High School.
Alongside this, we have our production of 'Rock Bottom' to prepare and produce, the Summer Fair, Sports day, Saffron Lane, Character Muscles Challenge and of course the transition days to secondary school.
So we had better get started...
PE will be on Wednesdays (or swimming) and Fridays - we will be outside for both enjoying the lovely weather and practising for sports day so make sure you have your full kit including trainers.
Keep checking back to see all the fantastic things we are doing in the photographs below.
